PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

ACTIVE LIFESTYLE, HEALTHY BODY WEIGHT AND REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CAN HELP TO REDUCE THE RISK OF CANCER AND TO IMPROVE THE OVERALL HEALTH.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Moderate physical activity can help us in cancer prevention. The accumulation of excess adipose tissue in the body can cause hormonal imbalance and chronic inflammation, which can promote the development of cancerous processes. In particular, excess body weight is associated with higher levels of estrogen in the blood, which may increase the risk of breast cancer in women after menopause. Furthermore, obesity can negatively affect the immune system and promote the development of inflammatory conditions that increase the risk of tumors.

Regular, moderate physical activity is a key element in cancer prevention: not only does it help maintain a healthy body weight, reducing the risk of obesity and its negative effects on health, but it can improve blood circulation, strengthen the immune system and reduce inflammation in the body, creating an environment less conducive to the formation and growth of cancer cells.

Moderate physical activities, such as walking, swimming, cycling or running, can easily be integrated into your daily routine. The World Health Organization recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity or 75 minutes of vigorous physical activity per week to maintain good overall health and reduce the risk of disease, including cancer.

In conclusion, excess body weight is related to an increased risk of developing several types of cancer, while moderate physical activity plays an important role in cancer prevention.
